In 2007, SFNTC donated more than $80,000 to community groups and non-profit organizations, including the Santa Fe Film Festival and the Mid Rio Grande Red Cross.

As part of our sponsorship of the Santa Fe Watershed Association, SFNTC adopted in 2007 a stretch of the Santa Fe River, which was named the “Most Endangered River” in the country in 2007 by American Rivers. Employees spent part of Earth Day 2008 planting native plants and cleaning up the riverbed. We made a three-year, $150,000 commitment to the rehabilitation efforts.

ECO TIPS

Kick the bottled water habit. Use a reusable bottle instead. Every year, 1.5 million barrels of oil are used to make plastic water bottles in the United States, and less than a quarter of those bottles are recycled.

GROWING PROGRAMS

Our growing programs give a financial boost to small, independent farmers while encouraging sustainable growing practices and help us to reduce our footprint on the Earth.
