Human Rights Alliance of Northern New Mexico Receives Second $5,000 from Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company

SANTA FE, N.M. – January 12, 2007 – With a contribution of $5,000, the second such donation within a year, Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company (SFNTC) will be co-sponsoring the Human Rights Alliance of Northern New Mexico’s 13th annual fundraising Gala to be held March 17.

"Our sponsorship of this worthy event is both a reflection of our commitment to diversity in the workplace, as well as recognition of the Alliance’s important work in our community,” said Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company’s CEO Rick Sanders.

Welcoming SFNTC’s support, Alliance board member and former president Donald W. Stout noted that the Alliance’s annual Gala is the organization’s primary fundraising event of the year, as well as a means for focusing awareness of important issues for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.

“We very much appreciate your company’s commitment – and the support of all the people of Santa Fe Natural Tobacco,” Stout said.

Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company, which manufactures and markets Natural American Spirit tobacco products, celebrates its 25th anniversary in Santa Fe in 2007.  The company was recently named one of the “best places to work in New Mexico.”
